This trip is so awesome that I don't even know where and how to begin. Haha! Basically, this trip was my "prize" for passing my Nursing board exam in one try. However, getting pocket money was a whole different story. Haha! I had to go through great lengths just to get money. It was reaaaaally hard... especially when you're a non-working graduate who has this really expensive thing as a hobby. Haha...! So anyway, I was with my mom and my cousin going here... and basically, here's the report. xD



I. Day I (11-10-11)

Our flight was scheduled on six in the morning. Truth be told, I wasn't able to sleep at all. It wasn't really because of excitement. I wanted to sleep. I had my eyes closed at around 11pm, but I ended up tossing and turning over and over. I had my eyes closed but I knew I was awake. I couldn't find a comfortable position to be in and by the time I decided to open my eyes (coz I got annoyed that I couldn't sleep), it was already one in the morning... and I was supposed to wake them up at two. It was all "oh what's the use of sleeping?! *plays with psp* Haha! We were at the airport by 4am, and boarded the plane by 6am.

Right after checking in to the hotel after reaching Singapore, my cousin pulled me to Universal Studios. Problem was... we had no idea how to commute there, and we were NOT willing to spend so much money for taxi rides. Anyway, we actually looked stupid when we rode the MRT lane for the first time. We knew which station to go but we had no idea how to ride the train. We were standing at one place for over 15 minutes just thinking of what to do. Haha! We were even "choosing" the people we were gonna ask questions from. Luckily, all the people we asked were nice. There were even two girls who were kind enough to teach us how to use the ticket machine. haha!

...and someone seriously asked me if I was Malaysian. xD That was new. I'm used to being thought of as Chinese, but that was the first time someone asked if I was from Malaysia. xD

Universal Studios... tada! It was TIRING. My cousin (she's older than me haha) was so full of energy that I think she rode almost every single ride there. By the end of the day, I was all "tiiiiiiiiiiiiired" while she was still "let's ride that again!"... haha. She was pretty amusing to watch though. xDDDD



II. Day 2 (11-11-11)

Originally, I wanted to attend AFA, but since it wasn't the con proper yet, I decided not to go and spend the day with instead. Long story short, she was my tour guide. Haha! My cousin went with her brother so mom went with Ami and myself. We went to different shops until we got to the "main attraction"... Bugis! xD Unfortunately, most of the shops were closed there so we had to go to the malls first. The malls are all "WHY YOU SO EXPENSIVE DEMMET?!" haha. Then when we finally got back to Bugis, I was all "OH GAH I WANT THAT! AND THAT! AND THAT! WAIT NO MONEEEEEEEEH!!!!" with almost everything I saw haha.

The real agenda was to buy shoes and falsies for our cosplay tomorrow (since I didn't like the ones that I brought with me). We were roaming around the place for almost an hour and a half just looking for shoes! xD Ami-bby was like "i am NEVER shopping with you again" haha! Those were my very first girly/loli shoes... and the heels are like hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh...! xDDD

After shopping, bby and I met with some of her Singaporean friends. There were a whole bunch of them! They were so welcoming and fun that I was seriously touched. ^^ Coincidentally, the other cosplayers from the Philippines were there too! Coooool~ Unfortunately though, most of them had to leave to watch the Vocaloid concert during Afa, so Ian, Rukia (I shall stick to that name! xD), Bby, and I went to the next mall to play arcades. xD It was my first time playing Technika 2! And there were a bunch of games that I can't find in the Philippines! *excited*

People I met today? Miyuki, Josh, Drago, Saddy Bear, Ven, Ian, Clement, and Gregoooooo~

IT WAS MY FIRST TIME TO HAVE PHOTOS IN AN ACTUAL PURIKURA! <3


III. Day 3 (11-12-11)

...which was today. Haha!

Hello AFA~ It was my first international convention and I reaaaaally had a blaaast! I was with as a Panty and Stocking Casino Gown version pair. Of course, she was an awesome Panty! xD I met tons of other people there too... and tons of shoots with really awesome people! I met and MANY OTHER AWESOME PEOPLE! I swear there are SOOOOOOO MANY OF YOU I cannot mention everyone! I never expected to meet such nice people in a short amount of time. I'm serious here. Thank you sooooooo much... TT^TT If I live in Singapore I shall make home baked cookies for you guys! TT^TT

cosplayed as Garterbelt. He was supposed to hang out with us but ended up roaming around instead. TTATT

There were also some of my Filipino friends there! and It was also my first time meeting and (my favorite rock lee cosplayer in the Phil so far xD) I feel bad though. I met a WHOLE LOT more people but I don't remember their names. QAQ

ONCE AGAIN I WASN'T ABLE TO SEE YOU! TT^TT

Anyway... AFA was a "challenge". It was my first time wearing super high heels in a convention (5-6 inches is high for me already haha) and I've been wearing it since around 11am until 6pm... excluding the times when we ate lunch and had floor shots during shoots. xD By the time we finally removed our shoes, I felt like I made such a big accomplishment! xD Not to mention that I never expected there to be SO MANY PEOPLE that it looks like a stampede from the upper floors. I cannot believe I actually managed to survive that to be honest haha. Suntec is HUUUUUUUUUUGE though. xDDD

Observations:

- The organizing of the event was really good. Way better then Philippine conventions (no offense okay? I'm a Filipino too =A= ). The placing of the booths were neat and organized and it wasn't hard to find the areas where you wanna buy what you wanna buy.

- People are actually reaaaaaally polite. Even though you pose for one photographer and MAAAAAANY MOOOOORE appears (wildphotographers has appeared! tadaaa! haha) they actually respect it when you say "umm is it okay if we rest a bit? We can meet again later and take photos. Thank you very much." Back here, there are actually people who thinks you're a real snob when you say "no" to their photos. >83

- told me that there really are a lot of photographers in Singapore. HE WAS RIGHT. There are a LOOOOOOOT. xDDDD

- =yinami showed me the largest fountain~ OOOOOOOH~ Tour guide again, bby? xD

Right after I got back to the hotel, mom went all "let's go to bugis again tonight". And here I was with my feet and legs aching like hell... We went to bugis... again. At least I bought the other clothes that I wanted... like that wool fluffeh sweater! (love love love) Hoho.

Highlight of the day for me (besides all of those shoots xD)?

I FINALLY HAVE MY VERY OWN CARDFIGHT! VANGUARD DECK! IT'S EVEN THE NEWLY RELEASED ENGLISH VERSION!!! OMG OMG OMG! I DON'T EVEN THINK THIS STUFF IS ALREADY IN THE PHILIPPINES! AND IT'S AN ORIGINAL DECK! Well it's a trial deck, but still! It's the first english release!!! *fangirl moment*

...sorry. It's been a while since I actually liked a card game so I went all spazzy. I was a player of Yugioh before during highschool and I decided to quit during college coz it got kinda boring. I have never liked another card game until now, and to have one of the first english release in my hands... I WANTED THE TWO DECKS BUT I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEYYY!!! I WANT THE DRAGONIC OVERLOAD DECK TOO!! ARGH!! I ended up buying a Royal Paladin deck since I'm more familiar with it... BUT---BUT--- I WANTED BOTH DEEEEECKS!! =A=

AND I BOUGHT A SHADOW PALADIN BOOSTER PACK! -it's still in Japanese though haha-

IV. Last Day (11-13-11)

Today will be my flight back to the Philippines. I really wanted to attend AFA again even as just a normal human being, but mom won't let me anymooooooooooore!!! I don't think I was able to say a proper goodbye to the people I met yet! TT^TT

- Went to Raffles Mall (I wanted to go to Bugis again haha)
